This super-hard-to-find monster was cut in New Orleans in 1969. It features the mad drum skills of local session guy Smokey Johnson and was released by the short-lived Intrepid label out of in Chicago. There's an odd resemblance to 'Double Barrel' by Dave and Ansel Collins... wonder how that happened? Unlike most obscure early funk tracks, there's a fairly in-depth blog post about this record here. Enjoy!
